Guilds recruit for needed classes. Main switching is considered a special request, not a guaranteed right. Therefore, the following policies will apply:
MAIN SWITCHING
Switching a Main
Main switches will not allowed unless the player has been in guild for at least 6 months. Earlier than that, the new player has to reapply, meet requirements and show their new character is a valuable addition to the raid force.
However, being in guild 6 months does not guarantee a main switch. Leadership must approve all switches (needed class, skill must be present).
Main switches must meet all requirements that an applicant need (faction/missions, AA's, gear etc.) before the switch is considered official.
How point/attendance is handled on a switch
Main switches get reset to 0% raid attendance and no points or permanent member points will carry over. However, if they switch to a needed class (determined by leadership), some points may be carried over.
At least 2 weeks notice should be given in advance of a planned main switch (as the guild may have to recruit to replace the loss). At that point of notification, no new loot can be won by the original character, however, that person must maintain active raid status (20%+).
The first two weeks of the main swap/change are a trial period and points will be earned as usual. If after the 2 week trial period, the player wishes to return to their old main, please contact an officer.
ALTS/BOXES
Alts/Boxes
Resolution of Erollisi Marr, as a raiding guild, focuses on one single character to advance on raids and in off time. Members wearing the tag should focus their primary effort to advancing that character to the best of their ability. Alts/boxes are rarely allowed on raids (only if the raid could not continue without that class-usually cleric or shaman).
That said, there are times players need a break or change during non raids (aka alt), and there are times where a secondary box may be useful on raids and in groups. With that in mind Resolution has the following policy:
All full members of Resolution of Erollisi Marr are entitled to have up to FIVE alts/bots guilded. Every member is entitled to ONE alt/bot of any level, the others (up to four) MUST be within 10 levels of the current maximum level in Everquest.
No alt/bot will be tagged if their name, or combination of first and surname are found distasteful, or offensive; remember these toons are wearing our tag and represent us. Offensive names DO include any name that includes "Zyeil" in it if you aren't me, and therefore ineligible to become tagged.
Please be courteous and patient when requesting alt/bot tagging.
Secondary account characters will be tagged ALT/BOX in the guild notes while secondary characters on the main's account will be tagged ALT in the guild notes.
Remember - any character wearing the Resolution tag must act with honor and respect at all times. Also, all alts/boxes, if online during raid times, must NOT be anon.
Rules on Alts/Boxes in Other Guilds
Resolution allows folks to have alts in other guilds provided those guilds meet the following criteria:
No alts can be put into a guild that raids on the same days/times that we do.
No alt should be put into a guild that is raiding just below, at or just above our content level .. unless they raid at different days/times than we do. One single overlap in day/time = don't put an alt there.
Your main should still be considered the character in Resolution and as such should be the character you focus on improving during raid time and in off times.
