My question is - will animated avatars be allowed? (my 300 in 7 tradeskill avatar flashes but currently does not work over here and neither does my baby doll)

Animated are allowed. Kinak, open your avatar up in paint and "save as" a jpeg.. will fix your size issues. With the number of avatars that are likely to be used, if I make it 500kb, our bandwidth and space usage will go through the roof.

Thanks. It wasn't when I tried uploading it yesterday (gave me the typical error message). Got it now though!

Yeah, I had to do a mod to the usergroups to allow them. Hiirsh pointed it out to me when she tried to get hers uploaded and I fixed it :).

ahh nevermind, its not working as an animation..
i right click on the animation from "internet" and click save picture onto cp. i open the file and it shows up as animation still. i open it in paint and it is just a picture.. not sure how to keep it as an animation.

What are you trying to do to it? If you email it to me I will make it smaller if that is what are you wanting to do.

Pretty sure he's doing a right-click/save.. which with animated gifs, will just safe whatever image is currently being displayed (I think anyway).

Nah you can get the whole animation saved like that.

BUT if you open it in a paint program it will only be one frame... you have to open it in Animation Shop to see all the frames, reduce the size or whatever you want to do and resave from Animation shop, to save as a animation :o)
