~~ DETRIMENTAL GUILD BEHAVIOR ~~
Behavior that is detrimental to the raid or guild can receive disciplinary action of the following types (chat with an officer, warning not to repeat behavior, TL'd or dropped from the raid, loot probation, removal of wishlist rights, etc. with ending potential of guild removal).
- Detrimental raid behavior will be determined by the OFFICERS, and can include such actions as:
* Mouthing off to officers or other members
* Failure to follow basic instructions or do what class officers ask
* Failure to be prepared
* Excessive questioning of loot/raid decisions
* Offensive Language and/or Sexual Harassment (breaking our PG13+ code)
* Repeated or extended unannounced AFK's (often the player will be kicked from raid and/or expedition) - repeated abuse of this will factor into future raid invites
* Inter/external member issues such as camp stealing, KS'ing, vulgar OOC battles and other behavior unworthy of the Resolution tag
* Use of any illegal 3rd-party software
IF you are approached by an officer regarding your behavior, treat them with respect. You may disagree with them, but the leadership is the ruling body and showing disrespect will be dealt with.
~~ Member Problem Procedure ~~
Goal
To provide a clear and fair way to deal with "member problems"
Definitions
What is a "member problem"?
- an (in-game or messageboard) issue or dispute a member (full member/officer/probationary member) has with another member that results in a complaint sent to an officer via "PM" (guild website private message).
- an (in-game or messageboard) issue directly observed by an officer.
Procedure
Notification
If any member wishes to make a complaint or negative comment about another member, or they have a dispute with which they request assistance, they should PM the complaint, comment, or dispute to an officer. Logs or screenshots should be included when possible. The PM will be posted by the receiving officer in a special section of the officer boards where the officers will debate and discuss resolutions to the matter.
Review
After review by the officers, the officers will vote whether to discipline the member on the matter. The vote will be based on a leadership 75% majority.
Action
A member being subjected to the disciplinary procedure will be noted as having been given their warning or deguilding and informed accordingly. This information will generally not be made available to the membership. We will follow a "three strikes" system with "time off for good behavior".
Strike 1 - First warning (optional loot probation and/or mesage board restriction)
Strike 2 - Final warning (optional loot probation and/or mesage board restriction)
Strike 3 - Guild removal
Each strike will be noted in a stickied 'Current Discplinary Actions' thread in the General-Officers forum. Examples will be included in that thread of how to post/update any current actions.
If a member maintains 6 months of non-actionable status (no further strikes) then that member's most recent strike will be purged.
Multiple strikes can be given for an infraction of these rules. For example, verification someone is using an illegal 3rd-party software is immediate guild removal with no chance of reapplying.
Drama/Excessive Arguing Clause
If someone is deemed to be creating drama or arguing excessively, the following guidelines will be used for discipline:
First Offense - Warning, and possible disciplinary strike
Second Offense - Disciplinary strike and 1 month posting ban (controlled through board priveleges).
Third Offense - Discipinary strike (removal from guild if third), and 3 month posting ban.
